Difficulty scale HIKING

T – Tourist. Type of easy route, signposted, with little difference in altitude, generally below 2000 m. of altitude.

E – Hiking. Type of route on paths and tracks on varied terrain, with possible steep slopes, snowy sections. A sense of orientation, knowledge of the area and adequate equipment are necessary.

EE – Expert Hikers. Traces of impervious terrain, relatively high altitudes, individual easy rocky passages, exposed sections. Mountain experience, surefootedness, absence of vertigo, physical preparation required.

EEA – Expert hikers with mountaineering equipment. The routes equipped with ropes and chains or via ferratas are indicated; must be addressed with adequate equipment and experience. Possession of mountaineering skills.

EAI – Hiking in a snowy environment.
